The Serpent and the Rose
Mary, Magdalene, and the Return of Embodied Wisdom
A Living Mystery Reawakens
There is a living mystery held within Mother Mary and Mary Magdalene that has never been fully spoken — one that reaches far beyond later church doctrine and into far older lineages of embodied wisdom.
As we complete the Year of the Snake, this ancient symbol rises again — not as something to fear, but as a living initiatory force within the Rose Lineage. The serpent speaks of wisdom carried in the body, not separated from it. Of consciousness awakened through embodiment, not escape.
This is the core of Christ Consciousness as an embodied path — the very heart of the work I carry through Christ Light Yoga.
The Serpent Before the Fall
Long before Christianity, the serpent was revered as guardian of wisdom, sovereignty, and life-force intelligence. In ancient Egypt, the uraeus serpent crowned queens and initiates, signifying awakened consciousness fully embodied.
Within the Isis Mystery Schools, priestesses wore serpent bracelets upon the left arm — the receptive side of the body — marking their intimate relationship with life, death, sexuality, and rebirth. This was not abstract theology. It was lived wisdom, encoded in ritual, sound, movement, and devotion.
The serpent was never meant to be conquered.
It was meant to be known.
The Fall of the Serpent and the Fear of Embodiment
As power consolidated within institutional religion, the serpent — and later the dragon — was recast as demonic. This was not symbolic coincidence; it was a deliberate severing from embodied knowing.
The serpent represents Kundalini or Shakti — the intelligent life force that rises through the body awakening creativity, eros, intuition, and direct communion with God. To suppress this current was to suppress inner authority, feminine wisdom, and the sanctity of the body itself.
From this distortion emerged:
-
The shaming of sexuality
-
The fear of the womb
-
The myth of sin as embodiment
-
The exile of feminine mystery
And yet, the Rose Lineage endured — quietly carried by women like Magdalene, passed through land, bloodlines, and sacred sites.
Mary Magdalene and the Seven Powers: A Map of Conscious Evolution
The Gospel of Mary, released publicly in 1955, reveals a teaching now returning to collective awareness.
In this text, Mary Magdalene describes passing through seven “powers,” later misnamed as demons. These were never entities to be expelled. They are the seven developmental thresholds of human consciousness:
-
Fear
-
Desire
-
Ignorance
-
Control
-
Attachment
-
Domination
-
Death
What Magdalene underwent was not exorcism — it was initiation.
This teaching is preserved in sacred art at Glastonbury, where Magdalene is depicted with dragons emerging from her body. These dragons represent primal life forces brought into conscious relationship. When the serpent is integrated, instinct becomes wisdom and survival becomes service.
This is true mastery.
Why St Baume Matters Now
It is for this reason that I am being called to Sainte-Baume — the forested mountain sanctuary where Mary Magdalene lived, taught, and completed her earthly initiation.
St Baume is not merely a historical pilgrimage site. It is a living initiatory field. Magdalene’s cave holds the frequency of deep embodiment, devotional solitude, and full integration of the serpent current into the heart.
Here, Magdalene did not transcend the body — she inhabited it fully.
Here, the Rose and the Serpent were unified.
Visiting St Baume at this time is a continuation of the same initiatory arc — a living transmission that supports the global rebalancing of feminine and masculine currents, heart and body, heaven and earth.
From Provence to Egypt: Completing the Initiatory Arc
If St Baume holds the completion of Magdalene’s embodiment, Egypt holds the origin.
The Exquisite Egyptian Immersion Retreat is not a tour — it is a return to the source codes of embodied Christ Consciousness carried through the Mystery Schools of Khemet.
Egypt is where:
-
The serpent was honoured, not feared
-
Sound was used as a healing technology
-
Temples were built to awaken consciousness through resonance
-
Initiation was experiential, embodied, and precise
Within the temples of Isis, Hathor, and Sekhmet, the same life-force intelligence Magdalene mastered was taught through sound, geometry, ritual, and devotion. This is why sound healing, toning, yoga, and meditation form the backbone of this journey.
To walk Egypt after St Baume is to close the circuit — Rose and Serpent, heart and body, devotion and sovereignty reunited.
Why This Matters for You
We are living through a collective initiation.
The Year of the Snake has revealed what can no longer remain unconscious. Wounds have surfaced not to punish us, but to be composted into wisdom. Patterns are ending — not through force, but through awareness.
This is the medicine of the serpent:
-
What is seen no longer repeats
-
What is integrated becomes wisdom
-
What is embodied becomes truth
Sacred sites are not destinations — they are amplifiers. When approached consciously, they accelerate integration and remembrance.
Crossing the Threshold
As we step into a new cycle of time, the question remains:
Who are you choosing to become?
What has this year taught you — not intellectually, but somatically?
What wisdom are you now ready to embody and live?
As we enter 2026, may we walk rooted in awareness, guided by love, and aligned with Divine Will.
May Thy Will be done. ⚜️
